This student position is with our Market Risk and Advanced Analytics Team. In this role, the student will assist the team in modeling assets to capture real option features of the physical portfolio, measuring cash flow risk, and valuing financial derivatives.

What you’ll do

Provide support to the Cash Flow Analytics team which will include testing models, data management, and report writing for senior management.

Support with coding projects – subject to skill and comfort levels.

Assist with the production and evolution of probabilistic reports on cash flow; helping adapt them for critical issues in a timely fashion.

Some work requires research – assisting more senior team members with probability research projects will expose the student to advanced concepts in modeling.
Who you are
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

Legally authorized to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)

Available to begin work in May 2025
The following experience/skills is considered an asset:
-
Basic knowledge of probabilities, and familiarity with either Python or R.

Understanding of data analysis and statistics.

Is a Team Player.
-
Poses a high degree of communication [written and oral] skills.
Education

Must be enrolled in a Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Finance Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term

Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered
