Our client, an innovative, client-focused boutique HEOR consulting firm is growing! We’re looking for a Biostatician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biostatistics and proficiency in statistical programming using SAS and/or R. In this role, you will utilize real world data to generate hypotheses’ and conduct analysis as well as generate value propositions using data sets.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement HEOR studies for tier one pharmaceutical companies.
  • Conduct statistical analyses to derive insights from complex healthcare databases, ensuring accuracy and relevance to client objectives.
  • Write statistical code and collaborate across projects on results auditing. 
  • Communicate findings through comprehensive reports and presentations, translating complex statistical concepts into actionable recommendations for clients.
  • Reference EMR (electronic medical records) and claims databases and work with data vendors. 

Skills and experience you bring:

  • Master’s or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in biostatistics within the HEOR or pharmaceutical industry, or a relevant industry.
  • Proficiency in statistical programming languages including SAS and R; experience with other programming tools (e.g., Python, Stata) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of statistical methodologies and their applications in health economics and outcomes research.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, entrepreneurial spirited and an openness to out of the box creative problem solving.  
  • Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) databases and claims databases is preferred.

Location: Ideally you live in the GTA, but we’re open to remote in Canada where you’ll be working in EST time zone.
