About the Role

In this position, you will synthesise quantitative and qualitative data from various sources to improve the quality of care for elderly Australians and people living with dementia. You will be part of a small, tight-knit team spread across four states, who share a passion for effectively communicating data and information to diverse stakeholders.

This role is offered as a contract up to 30 June 2028, aligned to the funding of the program and could either be based in St Leonards (NSW), Malvern (Vic), Daw Park (SA), Osborne Park (WA) with hybrid opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean and analysing internal and public datasets for clinical, research and operational purposes
  • Create and maintain BI dashboards and reports to using tools like PowerBI, R, Flourish, and Excel
  • Collaborate with dementia and aged care experts to gain deeper insights into the needs of our clients
  • Prepare high-quality outputs for various stakeholders, including academic publications, industry articles, and government reports
  • Contribute to a positive, supportive, and fun work environment

Your Impact

Working within the Dementia Centre, you will provide crucial insights for Australia’s nationally run Dementia Support Australia (DSA) program. Your work will enhance the program’s effectiveness and shed light on the lives of people living with severe dementia. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to improve HammondCare’s aged care services through data-driven insights.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A tertiary degree in a relevant field (e.g., health science, research, psychology, statistics)
  • At least two years demonstrated experience in a similar role with experience in cleaning, analysing and reporting on quantitative and/or qualitative datasets
  • A willingness to learn about dementia care and the aged care sector
  • Strong ability to work autonomously and independently
  • Passion for solving interesting problems with data and improving people’s lives
  • Collaborative spirit, excellent communication skills
  • Microsoft Fabric or Microsoft PowerBI experience – desirable
